About UsWe are a group of about 400 bell ringers in North Staffordshire who meet to ring and socialise together.
We give support and training throughout the area, promote bell ringing and provide bell ringing advice.

The Central Council of Church Bell Ringers is the representative body for bellringers worldwide. Founded in 1891, the Council today represents 65 affiliated societies including our Association.

The Association of Ringing Teachers (ART) provides training, support and motivation for ringing teachers. It also provides a progresive learning scheme for new ringers. They have an extensive website with many useful resources.

Restart Monthly Meeting - Sat 3rd JulyDue to the delay removing Covid19 restrictions we have had to cancel the July meeting.
This means our first non-zoom meeting will be the August walk and ring.
Guidance from 17th MayThe Central Council have published draft guidance for the period from 17 May.
The key points are:
- Rule of Six applies indoors
- Hands - Space - Face rules apply
- Good tower ventilation
- Restrict ringing time to 45 minutes

Covid19 RoadmapThe UK Government has published a roadmap for exiting lockdown over the coming months. For ringing the most likely scenario is:
- March 29th - Handbell ringing outside with up to 6 people (confirmed)
- About May 17th - Tower bell ringing with up to 6 people subject to social distancing rules
- About July 19th - All legal restrictions removed (may still need to wear face masks)

Clapper RefurbishmentOver the last few years a number of towers have had clappers repaired, re-bushed, etc. at the Baldwins Gate workshop of H E Butters and Co.
This workshop has now closed, but Graham Barnes who worked there now works at Huntaway Engineering Ltd, and he will be able to continue with clapper work.

BRF - Raising funds while you shopWe now have an easy way to raise extra funds for our Bell Restoration Fund. The BRF has been registered on Easyfundraising and if you shop at any of the 4000+ retailers available via their website, the BRF gets cashback. It doesn't add anything to the cost to your shopping, just gives a bit of extra income to the BRF.
Retailers include well known brands like M&S, John Lewis, Argos, Dunelm, Currys and many many more.

100 ClubThe Association runs a '100 Club' to raise funds for the Bell Restoration Fund. Members pay a subsciption of £12 and are entered in 5 draws in the year.
There are four prize draws, usually at business meetings, and one Superdraw at the Association's AGM. If fully subscribed the first prize will be £50 at the prize draws and £100 at the super draw.
